Falling in Color

Ah, the beauty of Fall! It's like a fireworks show done in reds, yellows, orange, and a dash of green!

Starting on my left hand I painted all but my ring finger...

L. A. Colors Color Craze Nail Polish with hardenersNP422 Lighting
When I bought this polish I thought it was a neon pink. Later I realized it's more a hot coral nearly orange. What get me is the color's name in "Lighting" .... Why? If you have a clue please comment, I just can't think of any reason this color is named "Lighting"!
This color is a little sheer. You might want to do an extra coat. At only a $1 or $2 so it's worth it!

Pure Ice Nail Polish
Made in the USA
1023 Lucky Charming
My ring finger adds a touch of green! I really have a soft spot for this color and top it off it's GLITTER! A very fine metallic glitter. Pure Ice is a good lower cost polish around $2. It looks like the higher price polishes. Some you might can even call dupes. :-)

Sephora by O.P.I Top Coat "I Found My Pot of Gold" 12023AGV SE 459 +Sephora +OPI Products
I topped the look off with a top coat on my thumb and pinky.
Sorry, this in a discontinued polish made in partnership between Sephora and O.P.I. It's still out there if you look for it. Check the internet. Big Lots is another good place to find this kind of stuff.
This polish is a little strange. It's clear with small gold glitter... then there are large diamond shaped holographic glitter in silver.

Pure Ice Nail Polish #001 "Glow in the Dark"
Not often I type in #001. I guess this is their first color? LOL... Anyway, I like to wear glow in the dark polish around Halloween. Here I used a new bottle of Pure Ice, a brand I like about $2. They had a number of colors this year for Halloween. Several glowed. I went for the clear'ish that you can use a top coat. It works!

Repeat on right hand in any order you please. Found a bag of these in a clearance bin at Big Lots! Gave them a try, Yummy :-) +Big Lots

L.A. Colors Shadow's Dance Shadow

After getting home from dance.
No makeup other then the Eye Shadow.
L.A. Colors Shimmering Loose Eye Shadow  "Lollipop". I got a good deal on Black Friday thinking I could use it as a blush due to the pink'ish tone. I have a very pink under tone and use to have a hard time finding a blush that looked natural on me. Lately though they have shifted to all blushes being pink. Anyway... I'm going off topic here.... sorry....

I got home from dance one night and looked in the mirror and was quite surprised at the reflection! Before heading to class I threw on a little of this shadow. I have seen these before but I found this in a clearance box earlier last fall. While I have used it as blush I decided to try it as an eyeshadow on a whim.

I head to class which was an hour long and involves a fair amount of sweat!

I look in the mirror and the eye shadow was STILL THERE! Barely moved at all!!! Felt I should share this amazing feat! Only shadow that has performed anything close to this is Maybelline's Color Tattoo.

Hard Candy Christmas...

It's 2015!!!
So, how was your Christmas?

What did you get?
Thought I'd share a few of mine!
______________

Ummm.... yeah the pic to the right... taken Christmas day and yes, no make-up... and it was cold hence the hoodie over the hat!
But yeah, not that this was a surprise. I picked it out but I had to wait till Christmas to get my hands on it!
Hard Candy is such a fun brand. I still joke about it as the make-up line for hookers, but lol... I love the glitz! Which reminds me, remember back when girls had to go to Adult stores to get the high-high heels? I called them "stripper shoes". And while it now is a main stream look that even I will wear I still look at a few of them and say "Stripper shoes"! And keep on going...
This is three sets of 4 Baked Eye shadows. I mean.. 3 gift sets? I want all of them!!! Each set had different colors! Nope I'm keeping them ALL.
I had to look up on how to even use baked eye shadow. You can use them dry or with water. I have tried both and I do recommend these! I partially like using them with water.
So... I get these for Christmas and I'm hoping I'll do well in the clearance sale after Christmas. So, a day or two after New Years I'm digging through the 75 Christmas stuff and not doing very well and then I pulled up a Hard Candy Eye shadow...  I keep digging and pulled out even more! I clawed through nearly every bin of Christmas junk I could find, at the same time suffering from sea sickness from an ear infection. And I was also hoping this stuff really was 75% off and I wasn't wasting my time. It was indeed on clearance. I managed to even get big containers of the same colors in my set I got on Christmas! I never even saw these before Christmas and I checked out the Christmas department a number of times! Oh, well... got um for 75% off now! :-D Would have been cool if they had named the colors but whatever, I get that they are trying to get new costumers by making affordable products to sell to people who do not want to take a chance at buying their brand at their normal retail price. While they are on a lower end price in the broad spectrum of things they are not the cheapest either.
But I also got a good deal on some LA Colors shadows!!! I'm not a fan of L.A. Colors but if they are nearly giving them away I'll give it a try. My mom really likes LA colors though. She has a large set of eye shadows.
I ended up with 3 sets of Baby Pop. The colors don't look very exciting in the package but it's a different story once they are on your eyes!
This Christmas was a good year for make-up. Normally they have make up sets but they are the cheapest you can find. This year brands like Hard Candy, ELF, and L.A. Colors made gift sets!

Black Friday Weekend 2014

So, how was your Black Friday weekend?
I've only been to 3 and 2 of those I sort of ended up in it on accident... yeah... not a huge fan. When grown men are stealing Justin Bieber Games out of other people's cart... I mean, it's not worth it.
I did not get in on any early morning sales. Didn't even hit one store on Fri BUT I feel I sort of hit the jackpot on Sat running into a clearance sale where I got all the above for around $10! So call this my Black Friday haul!
I see fun times ahead!!! :-D

Denim Day Off

Just cause you’re not working doesn’t mean you can’t look nice on your day off too!

______________

T-shirt:
  • White Stag
Size S (4/6)

Rn #59343

Style: FFW5482129F

UPS# 60535547958

Modern

This outfit kind of fell together and I really like this combination! Shirt is made by White Stag. 100% cotton. I have no idea what is written on this other than "Paris" but there is a lot of French to go along with pictures of French landmarks. The front side is beaded. The sleeves are elbow length. This shirt is a small but it’s a very lose fit on me.

Jacket:

Size L

RN# 17730

Made in Bangladesh

Modern

I'm also wearing this jacket here as well....
Is That Scary For You. Baby?

Pants:
  • Faded Glory Quality Goods
Size 10P

Made in Bangladesh

RN# 52469

No vanity sizing with these. These are nearly too big on me but quite comfy for everyday wear. Might need to just alter these eventually cause it’s nice to have lose jeans. At some point these did fit me. I have lost a lot of weight through the years. When I went Gluten free and made other healthy eating changes my weight started to drop again. My almost too tight skinny jeans from not that long ago are now my fairly lose skinny jeans. These date back farther than those. Long enough to have a real weathered look to them.

I'm also wearing this here....

Shoes:
Size 9

Check back on other looks. I wear these a lot. They are a very soft plastic and the color goes along with more outfits then I thought they would!
I'm also wearing this here....

   Casual Biz
   Rainy Day Sparkle

Makeup:

It’s your day off… Theater requires a LOT of makeup. There have been times I have just stopped wearing makeup outside of work! A lot of the time it just depends on my mood.

Day off = no makeup other than gloss. (I have to take mind to control my buying of lip sticks and gloss! I’ve got a good collection.)

After going Gluten Free, yes, I do have very good skin but I’ve been on the other side too. (Hey, I weighed 225 once!) I want this to be a Healthy Beauty Blog not one that tells you that you are more awesome when dressed and made up to the T and wearing a 2. Life is much more valuable than that. Being beautiful is a life style that should be grown from the inside out. Don’t be too scared to go out with no makeup and feel comfortable about it! Let me tell ya, good friends won’t care and your life will not end. Just saying…. ;-) And really you could be the most perfect person on earth and SOMEONE will most likely find something to go at you about. It’s not that you’re fat or look like a connect dot’s sheet of acne. People put people down quite often to make themselves feel better then you. It’s them that have the problem cause the fact is, no one is perfect… it’s how you handle your imperfect self… some put others down… in turn you put yourself down… in turn nobody is really happy. I encourage you to realize this silliness and enjoy who you are.

Lips:
I got this Markwins gloss in a Christmas set. It was like a set of 5 or 6. Not my favorite Gloss, it’s a little watery but wearable. I also wish it was a bit more moisturizing. It is watery but it does have a pretty good color intensity.

I used the "Rosie Pink" in the middle of my lips creating a two tone look you’re seeing out there now. I was surprised how well the combo worked.

Haha, my mom loves this LA Colors Gloss! The color does not go on as brightly as it looks in the tube but it is a quality gloss. Like I said, my mom loved it… not sure I’m sold on it… but I haven’t used it much (My mom lost it when she borrowed it…)

Accessories
  • Flower clip
I picked up this at one of those small dollar stores that was down the street from my place in NJ. There were two of them. Right before I left I saw one of these and thought, that looks fall’ish and grabbed it. It’s a golden brown flower with matching feathers. It happens to match the piping in the Jacket.

Hair:
  • Jaw Clip
Brushed to one side. Hand twist hair to base of pony tale. Twist remaining hair in a ball and clip on a large jaw clip.
