It's a little embarrassing but I managed to get retweeted by a porn site... it's kind of funny too...
No, I didn't have hidden photos of me naked discovered or such. No, it was completely innocent on my part.
Here are the events that led to this...
This has never happened before... as I keep saying I love glitter and somehow I got a piece of glitter from my eye shadow stuck in a pore on my face. I could see it glittering but it would not come out. It started showing signs it was getting infected. I put a round Band-Aid on it. The brand was Curad and was labeled Latex Free.
But let me back track here. I've known for years I was allergic to latex. I will even have a reaction if there is rubber elastic in my clothing! I work in a show that uses a lot of special effects makeup. When I auditioned I made them aware of this issue and they have been great through the years as to find ways to make me up without major damage to my skin. Also through the years some of my co-worked have discovered they too were allergic to latex!
After wearing this Band-Aid a day or so I peeled it off to behold THIS.....
The ring from the Band-Aid looked worse then what I put it on for! It looked like a burn! It took a number of days for this to go away.
Now, I am not deathly allergic to latex (at least thus far...) but there are some people who would have an even worse reaction then I did!
I got the box of Band-Aid to make sure that "latex free" was stated on the box. It was. I wanted to let others know what these "latex free" did to my face as a warning to watch out....
I took it to Twitter.
Now another warning. Do not hashtag the word Latex on twitter. That is if you don't want your face to appear on a porn site. Some stupid porn site that had NOTHING to do with me decided to repost my tweet on their site!!! When finding this out I couldn't even find a way to un-tweet myself! Ugh!
